RIGHTING YOUR WRONGS

Building on a strong Nottinghamshire tradition

In contrast to the often negative image of the credit management industry, we aim to maintain the highest standards of ethical behaviour in providing our credit management and business support services to you, based on principles of honesty and fairness.

ETHICAL CREDIT MANAGEMENT

We believe that the essence of good practice in business is trust. If we are fair and equitable in our dealings with clients, then they will trust us to do the right thing on their behalf.

Our percentage of work from repeat business is high and people who come back say it is because they can rely on us to put their interests first.

Philip Elliott, Founder

you deserve fair compensation for the work you undertake.

KEY PERSONNEL

Philip Elliott

Managing Director

Philip is the driving force behind Philip Elliott Associates.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in the field working with clients ranging from small businesses to multi-million pound companies.

Before starting the business, he worked for business partners in the legal, debt recovery, factoring and credit insurance professions.

Philip established the firm in the early 1990s to focus on commercial debt collection after recognising it as an area that many businesses were wary of.

He expanded the services in the early 2000s to include business support, credit control reviews, negotiating and mediation.

His rich seam of business connections mean that if a client has a query that he cannot answer, he is almost certain to know someone who can.

Philip takes a common sense, realistic approach to chasing overdue accounts and is renowned among his clients and wider business network for his cheerful, can-do attitude.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management while, outside of Philip Elliott Associates, he is Chair Panel member for Nottingham Roman Catholic Diocese Education Service, carrying out school appeals: this gives him a great deal of experience in both school management and administration.

Robyn Baxter

Director

Robyn is a director of Philip Elliott Associates.

She graduated in law from Nottingham Trent University in 2015 and joined the firm the same year as a paralegal, becoming its legal director in 2018.

She specialises in debt recovery in the UK and overseas, credit management, assets investigation, High Court enforcement and mediation.

Robyn works with a wide range of clients, from SMEs and sole traders to public sector bodies, private schools, corporations and international businesses.

Since becoming a director of Philip Elliott Associates, Robyn has added more financial specialisms to her portfolio, including outsourced credit control for clients, and also oversees financial management of the business.

She also runs the company’s monthly business lunch event which brings together company contacts and clients for networking.

Katie Szolin

Debt Recovery Case Handler

Katie joined Philip Elliott Associates in 2023 and, like director Robyn Baxter, studied law at Nottingham Trent University.

Her role focuses on the debt recovery side of the business, from responding to initial requests for help from clients and triaging cases to establish the details of a case, through to supporting mediation and legal action.

She prepares initial letters and final demands, collects data to present to solicitors in settlement negotiations, finalises other documentation should a claim be heading for court, and drafts instruction for High Court Enforcement Agents.

She also supports Philip and Robyn’s work on school appeals, keeps the team diary up to date, and manages the office.
